Lazy river resorts in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach

11 condo resorts and hotels here have a lazy river, from Phoenix Gulf Shores II to Caribe east of Perdido Pass. Two of them are on the bay, not the Gulf. Turquoise Place adds a four-story waterslide. The rivers are for guests only, so to float one you rent a unit or a room in that building.

Without a resort stay, the Tropic Falls water park at OWA in Foley has a lazy river, Castaway Creek, open to anyone with a ticket.

Heated pools without a lazy river

For a winter or spring stay

For a stay outside summer, a heated or indoor pool can matter more than a lazy river. Romar Place keeps its indoor pool at 90 °F.

For a winter stay, pick a building with a pool listed as heated; an indoor pool alone isn't always warm.

What to check

Brett/Robinson rents its Phoenix units only to singles who are 25 or older when traveling alone, and parents must stay with young guests.

Prefer a hotel room? Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach has a lazy river too. It's directly on the beach and charges self-parking $10 a day for parking.
